Stay safe with your money
Short, free safety lessons. Plain words, steps you can do today.
First 10 minutes after a scam alert
- Stop the click. Don’t tap the link or call the number in the message. Open your bank app yourself, or call the number on your card.
- Lock what moves money. Transfer lock, freeze a temp card if your app allows, check login alerts. Change that password on a device you trust and turn on two-factor.
- Protect your phone and credit. Ask your carrier about SIM protection. Big breach? Freeze your credit at the bureaus yourself — don’t click a random email.

Keep AI away from your money
- Never paste money secrets into a chat. No bank or brokerage logins, seed phrases, full card numbers or your Social. An AI chat is not a vault.
- Set the locks once, and check with your own eyes. Transfer lock, verbal password with your bank, SIM protection, login alerts. Any move that can move money needs a separate confirmation — not the same chat that suggested it.
- If something feels off, stop. Call your bank on a number you already trust, not the link in the email.
Next lesson: don’t borrow to invest — watch it below.
Don’t borrow to invest
- Borrowed money multiplies the drop. If what you own falls and you still owe the loan, the hole is bigger than the price drop alone.
- Prefer not to borrow to invest. Borrowing against what you own is not a beginner move — it breaks when prices fall while you still owe.
- Keep the risky slice small, and do a one-page check. What you own, what you owe, and what a big drop means for the loan and the cash you need for life.
